Here on the east side of the house, we're using SIPs to form the walls. With so many cutouts for doors and windows in this section, strawbale walls would have been labor intensive here. These walls enclose our breakfast nook and mudroom and form part of the entryway. On the second level, additional SIP walls will form our master bedroom.

Kristin took this picture up through some of the framing members of the house. We're going to leave a lot of the framing exposed inside the house. It'll be nice living with those red oak timbers.

The second floor posts and beams are up and the floor joists have been laid for the "attic" space under the roof. Some of this space will become an office for Kristin and we plan for bed lofts to be built in the two bedrooms on the west side of the house.

Looking down from the second floor of the house onto the barn/garage. The space is large enough to hold two cars will include a workshop area in the back.

Could you tell me where you purchased your Marmoleum flooring?
